The first conversation is thirty minutes and costs nothing. Come with a question. There is nothing to prepare and nothing to bring.

Prefer to write

Send a note instead.

Some things are easier to type than to say out loud. Write as much or as little as you like.

Notes come straight to the office and Jeremy answers them himself, usually the same day. Please leave out account numbers, Social Security numbers and anything else sensitive, because email is not a secure channel. Writing to us does not create an advisory relationship.

Before you reach out

What people usually ask first.

What happens in the introduction?

Thirty minutes, by video, phone, or in person at our downtown Oklahoma City office. You tell us what’s on your mind and what you’re trying to sort out, and we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit, including when we’re not. Nothing to prepare and no documents to dig up. The conversation doesn’t create an advisory relationship on its own.

Where would our money actually be held?

Your accounts sit with an unaffiliated qualified custodian, in your name. Our primary custodian is Altruist Financial, LLC, member FINRA/SIPC. Baldwin Financial never takes custody of your money. You get your own login and your own statements, and you can see every position and every fee without asking us for anything.

What does this cost?

Baldwin Financial charges a single kind of fee: an asset-based advisory fee on a tiered schedule, billed monthly in arrears on your average daily balance. It starts at up to 2.20% on the first $500,000 and steps down through four tiers to a negotiated rate above $5 million. The rate is negotiable on complexity, it is quoted in writing before anything is signed, and the full schedule is published on our services page and in Item 5 of our Form ADV Part 2A.

Is there an account minimum?

No. We do not impose a minimum account size. Accounts below $50,000 may be subject to a minimum annual fee, and we would tell you what that is before you decided anything. This matches Item 7 of our Form ADV Part 2A.

We already have a CPA and an attorney. Does that change anything?

Honestly, it helps. We are not trying to replace them, and we neither prepare returns nor draft legal documents. Our job is making sure everyone is working from the same plan, which is usually the piece nobody owns.

Can you work with us if we are not in Oklahoma?

Often, yes. Most of our clients are in Oklahoma City and Edmond, but good technology means we work just as closely with families well outside the state. The firm is registered in Oklahoma and can serve clients elsewhere where it is registered or exempt, so tell us where you live on the first call and we will confirm before going further.

Still have one we have not answered? Ask it. That is what the thirty minutes are for.

An invitation

One conversation is usually enough
to know whether this is worth continuing.

Thirty minutes, by video, phone, or in person in downtown Oklahoma City. Nothing to prepare and nothing to bring.

What the thirty minutes look like

  1. 01

You talk. What you own, what you owe, who depends on you, and whatever is coming up that you have not solved yet.

  2. 02

We tell you what we see. The two or three things we would look at first, and why those and not the rest.

  3. 03

You decide, on your own time. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you toward someone who is.
